About Jason

Jason obtained a Chinese lawyer’s license in 1995 and has a total of 26 years of work experience in law firms in Mainland China, Canada and Singapore. Before joining East & Concord Partners, Jason served as the Asia Pacific Legal Leader of one of the “Four Big Accounting Firms” in the field of Family Enterprise Consulting. Jason is also a licensed lawyer in the Province of BC, Canada.

Jason has been focusing on cross-border legal planning for private wealth, family trusts, cross border legal structure design and construction, cross-border investment and M&A, infrastructure investment and project financing etc.. Jason is skilled in integrating legal resources of various jurisdictions, designing and building cross-border legal structure for Chinese enterprises, and providing cross-border legal planning for Chinese high-net-worth families, helping clients achieve global distribution of family assets. 

Jason is particularly skilled in designing and building cross-border legal structure by utilizing legal mechanisms that have a positive impact on Chinese enterprises and wealth families in jurisdictions such as resident countries, investment host countries, Hong Kong, Singapore, Cayman and BVI. In recent years, Jason has provided cross-border legal services to more than 80 enterprises and Chinese high-net-worth families, with most of his clients being located in North America, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, and several family businesses/wealth families having been listed at the top of Forbes’ rankings. Jason’s clients benefit from his legal planning knowledge with a global perspective rooted in China and rich practical experience.

Jason is recognised as Chambers Greater China Region Band 1 Top Ranked Leading Individual in Private Client/Wealth Management (PRC Firms) (2024-2025) and LEGALBAND Band 1 China Top Ranked Lawyer in Private Wealth Management (2024).
